We've built the digital engine. Now we need the human behind it.

    Location
Manchester, UK · Hybrid, 3 days in office
    Type
    Full-time · Associate
    Compensation
    £28,000 to £30,000 + performance bonus

    The role

Across EQ Group our digital platforms generate a growing number of job applications, candidate registrations and enquiries every day. People find us through our websites, Google, intelligent search, social media and content. Generating that demand is only half the job. What happens next matters more. This is not a traditional recruitment consultant role: there is no cold BD target and no 100 dials a day. You will deal predominantly with people who have already found us, applied for something, registered their details or asked us to get in touch, and make sure we never waste that opportunity. This is a new role, so you will help shape it.

    What you will do

    • Monitor applications, registrations, messages and enquiries across every EQ Group digital platform and make contact quickly.
    • Choose the right channel for each person, whether that is a phone call, email, social message or another route they prefer.
    • Find out who someone is, what they are looking for and what the group can do for them.
    • Spot a brilliant candidate who is wrong for the role they applied for but right for something else in the house.
    • Qualify candidates before introducing them to one of our specialist recruiters.
    • Respond to inbound client and employer enquiries and book conversations straight into the right diary.
    • Keep strong candidates engaged when there is no perfect opportunity today.
    • Follow up internally so the people you introduce actually get looked after.
    • Feed what you hear from candidates and customers back into our marketing, content and recruitment teams.
    • Work with the group's technology so the process gets more intelligent and efficient over time.

    What we are looking for

    • Confident. Picking up the phone to someone you have never met does not bother you.
    • Likeable. You build rapport quickly without sounding scripted or salesy.
    • Curious. You ask the next question instead of processing an application and moving on.
    • Commercial. You recognise when a conversation represents a bigger opportunity.
    • Organised. Plenty is happening across several brands and channels, so nothing can fall through the cracks.
    • Fast. Someone engaging with us today should not hear back next Thursday.
    • Comfortable with technology. You do not need to be technical, but you should be excited to learn new tools.
    • Able to work hybrid from Manchester, minimum three days a week in the office.

    Nice to have

    • Background in recruitment, customer success, sales, account management or hospitality.
    • Early career candidates who are simply brilliant with people are very welcome.
    • Interest in how automation, digital acquisition and good human conversation fit together.

    What you get

    • £28,000 to £30,000 base plus a performance bonus.
    • Exposure to several growing businesses instead of one narrow recruitment desk.
    • A measurement model based on response speed, engagement quality and outcomes, not call volume logged in a CRM.
    • A genuine progression route: Senior Talent Engagement, then Digital Talent and Conversion Manager, then Talent Experience leadership.
    • An actual human speaks to you if you apply.
